When the Clock Strikes Midnight

Another year has come and gone,
The days have all passed, one by one,
The clock strikes midnight one more time,
Another year is ending.

I watch all colours paint the sky:
The fireworks—my lullaby,
While past and future then unite,
While I live in the moment.

Outside, the crowd cheers loudly but
Inside I only hear my thoughts,
And then the silence—disrupted by
A clock which then strikes midnight…
