Outside, the world’s a carrousel,
Forgetting me, who watches still.
Ending the cycle—sweet farewell,
Leaving behind the ancient thrill,
I soar into the world inside
And dreams and happiness collide.
– Patricia Ofelia

Outside, the world keeps moving on
Forgetting me who stays so still,
Engulfed in darkness when there’s dawn,
Left all alone and with no thrill.
Inside, my world’s fueled by despair
And so am I, broken and bare.
– Patricia Ofelia
Painting with colours from within
And setting free the art I dream,
Time walks by me and grabs my hand,
Reminding me of who I am.
I paint my feelings and myself
Canvas by canvas, I create.
I know true sadness and despair,
And yet to live and breathe I dare.
– Patricia
Painting with shadows of the past
And wishing that my art would last,
Time passes me, leaves me behind:
Regret is all that I can find…
I’m all alone, just by myself
Caught in an unforgiving web.
I know true sadness and despair
And thus to live I do not dare…
